Rushing hurriedly towards kitchen and figuring out to make some dishes immediately and then seeking for tomatoes is a usual phenomenon we carry out in our usual days everytime. While making soups, curries, salads,  snacks dishes like burger, pasta, etc. and all that meals we intake in our regular days, we need tomatoes. It provides immense flavour in the food items. We use them in our regular diet sources. And morever, these days for proper skin care purposes, people use it directly. See, its making a deep attachment with us. And yes for sure, tomatoes have become indespensable part of our lives!

Tomatoes are both considered as fruit and vegetables , and yes are produced all over the world. Its scientific name is Solanum lycopersicum. It belongs to the nightshade family. It is said that in the Mediterranean region, tomatoes are very easy for rapid cultivation . There is a bit history of this crop as well. When Europeans saw this fruit in the very earlier times, they introduced it as a poisonous berry. But later, Spanish made it noticeable as a consumable crop in the entire Europe and Philippines and from this start, it spread all over the whole world. 

Tomatoes generally vary in shapes, such as they are like spherical,oval, pear-shape ,etc. And they are even found in different colors like red, light red, orange, yellow, purple, etc(these are the most regular colors found).The flowers appearing in this plant are in clustered form in yellow color. The fruits that grow later , diameters range from 1.5 to 7.5 or more. Leaves are pinnately compound. The overall tomato plants may have a length from 60-180cm. 

Tomatoes ingredients are really considered for better health benefits, that we can ever know, despite providing good flaour in our food items. It is a crop with nutritional value.  It contains lycopene, which are really good for preventing cancer and heart attack problems. Lycopene controls the growth of cancer cells. It provides energy and is good for our eyes as well. This information is presented by cardiologist, Dr. Dory Jarzabkowski at Advocate Eureka Hospital. 

Tomatoes are much needed for diabetic patients for controlling sugar ratio in their diets, since they are lower in carbohydrates. They also contain vitamin K and calcium in a huge ratio .As per report of United States Department of Agriculture, 110mg of calcium is raised by 100gm of tomatoes. Thus, we can know how important are tomatoes to keep our bones strong.

For keeping good skin and hair or protecting them from the polluted environments ,we can use tomatoes. They are proper source of cleansing agent and freshes our skin. As it contains more vitamin A, it protects our hair from being damage.

Tomatoes are very beneficial for proper digestion. It contains huge amount of fibre, which helps us if we are suffering from constipation. It maintains the proper digestive system.

And guess what? Tomatoes are the ones you can include in your diet when you are thinking if reducing your weight. Tomatoes burns your fat by encouraging in the production of the amino acid , Cartinine. So , it's mandatory to include tomatoes in your regular weight loss diet.

The another good news from tomato using is that it helps to maintain the damage made by smoking in the body. The coumaric acid and the chlorogenic acid found in tomatoes helps to protect from the adverse effect of cigarettes.It goods for all the smokers to know!

We can grow tomatoes in our home gardens, containers or in fields anywhere we want. Its easy to grow.Lets grow tomatoes widely and make our health grow more healthier each day.
