If you are wishing to grow coriander in your own home, you can easily conduct the process. There is no such a difficulty in carrying out the process. Here, I am providing information on these and now lets start: You can use the coriander seeds from the grocery store. Since, the seeds are enclosed in a husk, you can gently crush the seeds before sowing. This will obviously increase the germination rate. Here, you may think of how to do crushing. For crushing, you can use any form that is easier for you such as by using mortar and pestle or by wrapping the seeds in a paper or towel and crush with any equipments gradually. You must have become ready with a pot. Any kinds of pots can be used(plastic pot, shallow pot, ceramic pot, etc. For growing coriander comfortably, its better to use a deep and wide pot as good preference because it has a deep tap root. One most important thing not to miss here is that the pot must have a proper hole for drainage. Now , after buying pot , you can add the potting mixture. In case if you donot have potting mixture, you can use garden soil mixed with sand. You can wet the mixture in the pot, until the water comes out of the drain hole. Add the coriander seeds now.If we have taken the seeds from the grocery store, we should know that there is no 100 percent germination rate. So, we have to sow seeds in large amount to have a pot full of its leaves. After that, cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil.(Seeds are 1/4 inch deep in the soil here).Spray bit water in the soil then. Here, we must be careful for not keeping great water force. We can use bottles and make some holes in its upper part and spray water from there , for an easier way. Now keep the pot in a shade in the afternoon , when the day is also sunny. This is because this plant grows best in sunlight but dislikes hot weather. We must give a care to it everyday then and keep the pot moist (prevent from drying). In day 10, little emergence of the leaves can be seen. In day 16, more leaves emergence with bit bigger size than before can be seen. In the further days, this growing phase continues more. Everyday 4-5 hours sunlight should be given. Thus in this way, we can grow corianders in our own home.
