Have we ever thought of the part that livestock resemble as a wonderful gift in human lives.

Livestock are linked with the very early times of  human civilization and no doubt, today it has been the inseparable need of farmers. Livestock rearing or animal rearing , where domestic animals such as cattle, buffalo, goat, sheep , etc are raised well for the purpose of food and selling, is a good traditional culture running through ages , especially in rural areas; but  a majority of animal farm plan have also been running successfully as a major enterprise in urban areas with a motive of profit. We have been often hearing in a news that specific animal being reared in  regions are making survival of many family members. It makes us realize that these animals have been a source of  livelihood to the mass of people. With the increasing population, the demand of livestock  and its product are also increasing. Thus, we can know the importance of animal  rearing and a proper way to take them ahead in near future.

Livestock are important  to us. Milk ,which is the package of important nutrients and has a

great potential of ruling the world is what we obtain from cattle and buffalos. People count on these animals for milk. Secondly, the next important source ,we obtain is no other than meat. Meat, itself is very nutritive for the human body, growth and strength. Both milk and meat are the recommended diet for humans for the greater immunity development and healthy living ,as per the researches and organizations. Rapidly growing population is knocking for the more demand of these products. For the more supply of these items, more animals should be reared and distributed worldwide. This will be a never- ending process and yes for sure, livestock farming will run till the end of the existence .

Draft power of livestock has always been taken into consideration. If we go back to those time, where mechanization was just an imagination and all the agricultural works such as ploughing, levelling were done by ox , and the load of goods from one place to another were carried by horses, zebras, and other animals. No labors were required and in this way expenditure seemed to be low. Though the advance generation has already arrived , draft power is still existing and in this sense, it has really been a good friend of humans. Animal by-products, that refers to the products taken from unused parts of animals as feed materials are also the outcome of livestock farming. Examples of animal by-products include flesh, blood, fat, eggs, rennet, etc. This is more beneficial because the unused parts can be turned out into the use which include the examples such as soap, candles, cosmetics, casein, bone meal, keratin, etc. This can be turned out into a monetary value.  

Balancing and being a major source for the operation of agriculture is favored by no other than livestock farming. The manure  and cow-dung that we obtain from the ruminants are used as a media mixed with soil for growing all varieties of crops. They play a lead role in making a soil fertile. So , the use of more fertilizers and pesticides reduces ,which means our expenditure cost reduces directly by using this natural method. This can be even the best option for encouraging organic farming  and leading towards healthier life. Similarly, wool production from sheep is the most important benefits taken all over the time. The trade of the wool is famous worldwide and greater economy can be achieved. Likewise, the hairs of the goat are used for rugs, rope and hide from buffalo and goat are used for leather products.

After knowing all these indispensable economic benefits, we can realize its importance. So, main focus should be made on the proper care and management of the livestock , which includes their proper constructions of shed, feeding ,breeding and protection from infectious agents(proper sanitation).If some animals are raised well, benefits can be taken as a whole. The trade can be huge. Suppose, if a country can export more, what a large economic stability can be gained!

If we overview from top to bottom , livestock farming is the one providing food, clothing and livelihood to the humans. The trade and all the enterprise operations carried out from this operation can make a people get a relax life throughout, rather viewing majority of people competing for  abroad and urban jobs . Till now, people have not been able to flourish livestock framing as a good grade occupation as we can know this from the habit of parents and grandparents who are keeping their children far from this knowledge and the same mentality is being driven towards ours and future generations. This is a very wrong context of action going ahead. Livestock farming , a technical knowledge should be flourished and taken into practice among everybody including youths, especially. Still many advancements and improvements are required to make the operation of livestock farming go in a fluent and rapid progressing direction. Improvement and progression in the field of sustainable livestock farming should be achieved for the sustainable agriculture and sustainable existence of humans.
